GENZYGENZY

Privacy Policy

Effective 27 October 2026

GENZY is operated by GWorldSoft Solutions Limited (“GENZY”, “we”, “us”), the data controller for the information described here. This policy explains what we collect when you create an account and use GENZY, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. We process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and the regulations of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

  1. 1. Information you give us

    • Identity: first, middle and last name, date of birth, gender and your passport photograph.
    • Contact: email address and phone number.
    • Education and work: country and state, your institution, department or course, level, programme length, admission and graduation years, matric or registration number (optional), qualification, job title and organisation.
    • Interests you choose, and anything you add to your profile (bio, skills).
    • Content you post: posts, comments, videos, images, stories, messages, course quiz answers and project submissions.
    • Account security: your password, which we store only as a one-way encrypted hash.
  2. 2. Information we collect automatically

    • Activity on GENZY (pages and videos viewed, watch time, lessons completed, reactions, searches) and when you were last active.
    • Device and connection details such as browser type, IP address and approximate location derived from it, used for security and to keep the service working.
    • Cookies and similar storage, explained in our Cookie Policy.
  3. 3. How we use your information

    • To run your account and show your profile to other members.
    • To personalise GENZY for you. We use your institution, course, level, interests and activity to give you specialised content: courses and lessons suited to your level, scholarships, internships and jobs you're eligible for, study groups and classmates from your school, and communities and live classes in your field.
    • To keep your academic level current. When a new academic session begins we move students up a level (for example 400L to 500L) based on the programme length you gave us, and mark you as an alumnus after your final year. We tell you each time, and you can correct it in Settings.
    • To keep GENZY safe: to verify accounts, detect scams, spam and abuse, enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines, and review reports.
    • To communicate with you: account emails (such as password resets and receipts), notifications you can control, and important updates.
    • To process payments for paid plans, and to keep records the law requires.
    • To improve GENZY using aggregated statistics (for example, which courses help students most).

    We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your date of birth, phone number or matric number for advertising.

  4. 4. Our legal bases

    We process your data to perform our contract with you (providing GENZY), with your consent (which you give when you create your account and can withdraw), for our legitimate interests in keeping the platform safe and improving it, and to comply with legal obligations.

  5. 5. What other members can see

    Your name, photo, institution, department or course, level or qualification, headline, bio, skills, interests and the content you post are visible to other members.

    Your email, phone number, date of birth and matric number are private: only you and authorised GENZY staff can see them.

  6. 6. Who we share information with

    We share data only as needed to run GENZY, with providers bound by contract to protect it:

    • Hosting and database: Railway (servers in the European Union).
    • Photo, video and file storage and delivery: Cloudflare.
    • Live classes (real-time audio and video, not recorded by default): LiveKit.
    • Payments: Paystack. We never see or store your full card details.
    • Email delivery: our email provider (for password resets, receipts and notices).

    We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or as part of a business transfer (you would be told).

  7. 7. International transfers

    Some providers process data outside Nigeria (for example in the EU and the United States). Where this happens we rely on safeguards permitted by the NDPA, such as contractual protections.

  8. 8. How long we keep data

    We keep your account data while your account is active. If you delete your account we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law (such as payment records) or to resolve disputes and safety reports.

  9. 9. Your rights

    You can:

    • see and correct most of your information in Settings, and request a copy of your data;
    • delete your account at any time in Settings;
    • object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent (this doesn't affect processing before you withdrew);
    • complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

    To exercise a right, email gworldsoft.ai@gmail.com. We respond within 30 days.

  10. 10. Security

    We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls for staff and regular reviews. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password and never share it. GENZY will never ask for your password, BVN or OTP.

  11. 11. Age

    GENZY is for people aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from younger people; if we learn of such an account we delete it.

  12. 12. Changes and contact

    We'll tell you about material changes before they take effect and ask you to agree where the law requires. Questions? Contact GWorldSoft Solutions Limited at gworldsoft.ai@gmail.com.
